Venezuela has recently allowed foreign oil development firms to return to the country after having thrown them out over a year ago. Interestingly, most US oil companies are stating away from Venezuela (and indeed some, such as Exxon/Mobil are still involving in litigation against Venezuela), however European oil companies have responded favorably to the invitation to return.
